My friend Mandy from Fabric Paper Glue just got this award and passed it on to me - how sweet! Even better, today is my birthday, so what a great surprise!
Mandy is one of my only real-life friends who is either as crafty as me or who has a blog, so it is great to get to chat with her about all things craft- and blog-related. And she is a super talented crafter and home decorator (Apartment Therapy even did a house tour of her place - how cool is that??). To give you a hint of the great things on her blog, she designed the fabric for this pillow on spoonflower and then made it into a pillow cover... AND she reupholstered the chair it is sitting on.

Thanks Mandy for thinking of me! I figured this was a great chance to share the love with a few of the smaller blogs that I read - there are so many great ones out there! All of these folks are not just great bloggers but really nice people too, and I am really glad that I have had the chance to get to "meet" them through blogging and get to know them a bit.
Shelly at Rebel Homemaker has a blog that is right up my alley - beautiful sewing projects, delicious recipes and lots of gardening. She shares my love for Kate Spain's Central Park fabric line and made a whole set of gorgeous pillows using the fabric, and has lots of fun other sewing and quilting projects going on as well.

Pétra at Sew Paint Create makes unique and beautiful modern quilts and also shares a bit about her family. She is originally went to art school and took up quilting a few years ago to get back into making her own art, and she takes a really creative approach to her sewing. Isn't this quilt she made stunning?

Natalie at Greenleaf Goods blogs about her quilting and also sells scarves made from felted recycled wool in her Etsy shop. Her quilts are gorgeous and I love the color and fabric choices that she makes! Check out this beautiful quilt she made with Anna Maria Horner's Innocent Crush fabric line:

I hope you enjoy checking out these great blogs! As you can probably tell, my mind is on quilting and pillows lately... hopefully you will be seeing more of both showing up on this blog too in the coming months.
UPDATE:
When it rains it pours! I was also just tagged by Mary from Buggle Bee Handmade for the Stylish Blogger Award. How nice, thanks Mary! Since I just did this post about the Liebster I am going to skip the 7 facts about myself/tagging more people and just combine it with this post.
